I drink a diet soda once a month or so as a treat but I feel like shit after. Is it in my head? Maybe

Yea drink yo kill my cravings once I’ve cheated. I have to withdraw from sugar by drinking something like a diet soda.

It does not kill my cravings, maybe makes them worse because i want more sweet drink/food.

But, an ice cold mountain dew zero or sprite zero are delicious!

Also root beer.

Another way I get my fix is tea, lemon with stevia in it. I have not had legit Georgia sweet tea with real sugar in 30 years.

I been told by other BBERS it makes them crave sweets.  I use it as my detox from sugar. Me in my head know it’s not acting like sugar gets me by.   Sugar can be a killer in so many ways for sure.  An addiction for me. It can be. Kit Kats, apple pies and Oreo cream cakes and pizza was my drug of choice

I was a diet coke maniac for such a long time. MANY years.... I would get 2-3 Rt 44s from Sonic a day. After my discover of CKD stage 3 I stopped them. Not saying thoese were the cause of it...but I know it didnt help. I feel SO much better without the Diet sodas. Also they definitely made me crave sweets and carbs along with adding a gut.

Once and a while I dont think they hurt...but long term I believe they are not a good choice.

5 grams of l glutamine on an empty stomach first thing in the morning reduces sugar cravings. I use it when I go keto.
