Your lucky. The shower water is not sterile.
Oh I know but I work for the city and see the tests. There is very little live bacteria in it with the chlorine and other chems (why I do not drink it)
The amount of bacteria after washing with soap and water is decreased substantially with just water but with soap reduces the bacteria down to 0-4% which is negligible.
now look at alcohol swab...as much as live 20% bacteria left over. Iodine is more effective than alcohol.
You can do the research brother, I did. Scrubbing with soap and hat water is more effective at removing bacteria than swabbing with alcohol.
This all comes from sources that cite references. I did not believe it either my friend.
