CPAP brought down my hematocrit levels down to normal range and stopped snoring and feel rested. Game changer.

I could not use it. I gave it a good year. My nose has been broken a lot and I cannot breathe through it so a nasal pillow does not work. A mask that covers my mouth, I wake up with a dry painful throat 3 hours in and it does not seal well due to my beard. Yeah I turned the humidity all the way up.

I am going to a new sleep doc. That last was some obese Indian lady doc with the bedside manner of a potato who just said I had sleep apnea after my sleep study, I needed a CPAP and that was it. It came in the mail, I called the office they told me to look up youtube vids how to use it I shit you not. Anyway the new lady makes dental appliances that hold you jaw in a position that prevents snoring. I wear a mouthguard anyway to prevent teeth grinding so I hope this helps.

My watch tracks my sleep. I got a 52 "meeds attention" rating last night. I woke up 5 times and was a wake a total of 3 hrs and 42 minutes. My blood O2 level at it's lowest was 82%. Wonder why Hematocrit is high...

I paid out of pocket. My deductible is high. I did sell it and recoup 1/3rd of my $. I spoke with my PCP who referred me to this doc. She apologized and said they no longer recommend her as these complaints were common.  I am hoping this mouth piece will fix me. I need sleep!

I won't sleep without mine. Even if I think I might dose off in the recliner I will move it to night stand next to it. I hate the feeling of waking up when I don't wear it. I even have a battery pack that I bought off Amazon for like $200 that will power it for 5 days if I lose power or if I go camping or something. The battery pack only weighs a couple lbs.
