My hemoglobin normally drops more than that after donating blood. Usually, a couple points. I mean, if I started at
18 g/dl, I'd be at 16 g/dl for at least a couple days to maybe up to a week afterward.

How do you lower hemoglobin on TRT?
Depending on your unique circumstances, your provider may recommend regular therapeutic phlebotomy every 8-12 weeks. The procedure is simple and performed in the same manner as a blood donation. Successful therapeutic phlebotomy typically decreases hematocrit, hemoglobin, and blood iron in less than one hour.

How long does it take hemoglobin to drop?
The slope of that curve depends on how much blood is lost. A typical 500cc blood transfusion will cause a 0.5 gm/dl drop over several minutes to an hour.A
