General Discussion / Re: Police Officers PTSD
« on: March 26, 2024, 04:19:55 am »

We deal with that in combat, as well. We have shot kids who surprised us in the heat of battle with what looked like they were armed, they weren't. We were cleared, as they said 99 out 100 Marines would have pulled the trigger. It doesn't matter if you are cleared. Of all the Marines I have lost, all the fire fights I have been in, hit by IEDs, rocket attacks, etc... nothing hits PTS harder than taking an innocent life.

Damn bro, I cannot imagine.

Yea, it's still nippy here in USA.  I wet to a few ponds in NC, Va while I was making my business meetings.  The sunnies appeared to be preparing beds.  But by 5-6 pm.  They headed back to deep water.  Once the sun went down.

Bass spawn is on here. There is a full moon this weekend and the majority of bass will come shallow. We are going to Broken Bow for a little getaway for my wife's B day this weekend. I hope I get to do some fishing for smallmouth and or trout.

Nice as heck.  You ever hear those suckers at night?  The noise they make on the water.  It's nuts.  Fun to catch.

Yeah, I have. strange fish. A lot like a salt water black drum.

Went bass fishing a couple times this week. Tuesday I was in the back of the boat and cast my spinner bait at some riprap and got bit. I set the hook and drag started peeling. I just knew it was a double digit bass. NOPE... it never jumped or shook it's head. Just dug for deep water.
HUGE fresh water drum. I will say the fight was fun but damn I was still disappointed. I did catch bass. A bunch of dinks a couple 3s and one 4.

And yes, I am skinny, I have always been honest about that. I do not powerlift or BB anymore, weights are just to stay fit and get stronger for Muay Thai and BJJ. When I started martial arts I found my frame was too thin and small to compete with legit light HWs. So I dropped 40-45 lbs of muscle mass over 2-3 years. I just still like hanging out with you fellas so don't hate on a skinny old man on TRT.

I work with the police a lot. We do not carry guns as neighborhood services officers and deal with homeless meth heads all the time. I have seen some crazy stuff but never got involved. Never anything like shooting someone.

Recall the time that cop shot and killed the kid on the playground with a replica gun? Even though he was exonerated I know that messes with him.

Nut even more, Marines and Army infantry in real combat, I cannot think of anything that would cause PTSD worse than that.

Reading your post.  I'm getting ready to spend 600.00.  I have to purchase different license for different states we lay our heads.  I may cut out the trout stamps and save money.  We go to a place called Poconos.  My wife family stock and mate them.  You pay per fish.  the fubby thing is you catch them on their eggs.   So the owners net them and squeeze the eggs out.  Place them in a cup and sell them.  I let the cat out the bag and started telling kids.  When you catch them place the eggs in your cup.  It's the same bait.  It's awful having kids' parents pay for more bait.

I was in Jersey this week.  A NJ Tropper.  Showed me three ponds off the turnpike, deep in the woods.  Where they sleep on night shift.  Gave me his Gold card to use if questioned.  I didn't need it but he has been one of my guys last 8 years and on a board.  that he hates.

So let me fill these forms out for my license.  Then you and I JG are going to have a contest this year.  Get your pratice in.  See Attached Pic.

Nice flatfish! I went again last night to a pond I had never fished with a buddy and little 2 man boat. Caught a bunch of dinks but was fun.

Incredible day yesterday weather wise. We went up in a creek. from the lake. Bassy territory but hard to fish. So many trees in the water. I hooked several but most got off as they were on the shore and you had to cast over a bunch of crap to get to them. Ended up with a really nice 4. On a trick worm. The rest were pitching soft plastics.

General Discussion / Re: Why are Bodybuilders Dying?
« on: March 03, 2024, 08:15:36 am »
Its not just that, hyper levels of any hormone is bad for you. Being HUGE puts a massive strain on your heart. Gear wrecks lipids. Having human grade gear is definitely better from a purity and contamination standpoint but I have never heard of a BB dying from dirty gear.

I dropped about 40 lbs of muscle and stopped cycling. I still do my legit TRT and sometimes add 25 mg of dbol on leg day or 50-75 mg of deca and or 25 mg of mast E off and on but I felt like shit before. I was always sore, lipids were fubar, even heart enzymes were elevated as well as BP was way higher.

I reluctantly dropped the mass and found a new hobby. Muay Thai and BJJ. I am way healthier. I am sure some guys can handle it better with bigger frames as I have thin bones. I just want folk to stay safe. I do miss being the "big guy"m but not enough to go back.

Yeah, BB can take a serious toll. It is personal choice, I just hope people who do use wisely and mitigate as much as they can.
