I didn’t see a movie thread so if I missed it, point it out.
We need a movie thread so put up some stuff you have watched and lets tell others why they should watch it or stay away from it.... I will start.

I hated this movie. Maybe I missed the point but I thought it was dumb as hell. It was entirely too predictable and while I understood the plot and what they were trying to accomplish, it just didn’t work for me. I thought it was terrible. Now, some of the actors were phenomenal but the entire thing just sucked for me.... maybe I don’t understand it, it got high marks on IMDB but for me, it was just ....... blah

I agree, thought it stunk too.
My wife and I had a date night and she wanted to watch A Man Called Otto. I am not really a fan of Tom Hanks as a person, I think his a big pussy, but he is a good actor. This is one of his best movies. Not Forrest Gump or Saving Private Ryan level, but definitely up there.

Been wanting to see that as well.
I'm not a huge fan of him as a person but a quick story...his brother is an professor of entomology, studying some beetle. His wife was my executive assistant at a previous career. Super people. Tom would come to town once or twice a year. (never met him). My assistant didn't like talking about them much, but because it generally led to people wanting autographs and sh*t. I never talked or asked about him to her out of respect.
I will have to check it out as well. I honestly hadn’t heard of it until GF mentioned it but I am going to look into it and see if I can find it.

I've heard there are some suicide attempts in this and it can get a little deep. Was that your take GF?
I tried watching it on my jailbroke firestick last night but couldn't get a link to come up.

The dude is going through some shit and does attempt to take his life a few times. If you put yourself in his shoes, most guys who have lived a similar life to his, would most definitely see why and probably justify it. I didn't sense any triggers though.

I haven't updated things in a couple years. I need to do a complete refresh on things. most of the apps I have don't even work. Plus everything I had in Kodi is now gone. no clue where stuff went. LOL I used it when I was consulting up in ND because I only had internet. When I left and brought it home I shelved it for over a year and forgot about it.

I'm using a Build on Kodi and a IPTV service. I also have a VPN and realdebrid. The funny part is this time of year I might watch 2 hours of tv at night to get ready for bed. weekends is PPV fights and maybe a movie if I find something I want to check out.
I watched a few movies during the icepocolypse here in N Tx.
Finally watched Everything Everywhere All at Once. What a fun movie. I very much enjoyed it.
Prey, it is part of the predator franchise. It was OK at best. Bummed because I really liked the other shows.
Wanna watch the movie "Nope". Heard it was good.
Also watched, Vesper. It is sci-fi and is kinda slow and a bit quirky but the visuals are great and worth a watch if you are into the genre.
90% of what I watch are documentaries. I find some good ones like, Crime of the Century (HBO) and Pepsi - Where is My Jet (Netflix). Most are just alright. Some I skip over, because they don't interest me on the surface, but I run out of other things to watch, so I end up putting them on. That happened yesterday. I finally watched, Icarus (Netflix). It is about doping, a cyclist who is trying to get around testing and Russia's doping scandals. Pretty good. There were a couple cringe spots in it. He went to see an HRT doctor and that dude shot him up sub-q with like 3 mls of HCG in one shot. The guy had a lump the size of a golf ball. Told him that is how he will do his shots 3x per week. Fuck... I guess doc has never heard of the "no more than .25 ml for sub-q." Haha. He ended up getting with a guru who told him to stop that shit and go IM.
I just watched Vengeance last night. It really surprised me - it was a good movie. Not great but it did a bunch of stuff really well.
The only reason I decided to watch it was due to a friend having a small role in it and I try to support my pals. I was fully expecting the movie to really be a knock on country/rural/small town folk, and initially it did start that way. But damn did it subvert my expectations over and over again. The fish out of water trope holds strong throughout the story but it kept changing how it showed up. The movie is also hilarious at times, which the trailer really tries to capture. It's also quite dark in a way. I enjoyed and recommend it.
It’s on Amazon I believe.
