Low Blood Sugar side effects ( You Want to Know)
« on: August 04, 2025, 09:59:20 am »
When you need sugar, it means your blood glucose level is low, a condition called hypoglycemia. This can lead to various symptoms like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, and even more severe issues like seizures if not addressed. The body and brain rely on glucose as their primary energy source, and low levels can impair physical and mental function.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
Energy Source:
Glucose, derived from the breakdown of sugars and carbohydrates, is the main fuel for your body and brain.
Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia):
When blood glucose drops too low, the body doesn't have enough energy to function properly.
Symptoms:
The severity of symptoms can vary depending on how low the blood sugar drops. Early signs might include shakiness, sweating, dizziness, and hunger. More severe cases can lead to confusion, blurred vision, seizures, and even loss of consciousness.
Causes:
Hypoglycemia can be caused by various factors, including insufficient insulin (especially in people with diabetes), excessive insulin, inadequate glucose production by the body, or even certain medications.
Treatment:
If you experience symptoms of low blood sugar, it's crucial to consume a sugary snack or drink (like juice or glucose tablets) to quickly raise your blood sugar level. If symptoms are severe or don't improve with treatment, seek immediate medical attention.
