Where I live BC there are not any lakes with pads or any vegetation for that matter. We fish structure underwater such as humps, ridges and creek channels. I just got a Helix 7 with side imaging for the yak. Ought to really increase productivity with deeper water fishing. One of the lakes nearby used to have hydrilla. We would throw frogs and what a great time.
If I can pull it off I would love to. About 5-6 hours. Not bad, same distance to Surfside south of Galveston. I am gonna go to Florida and fish Biscayne bay next week.
Snook, gator specks, baby tarpon, permit, reds ect are piled up in there. Bonus, BONEFISH! always on my bucket list. I have never caught a redfish.
