Love those BG jigs. I like the original in chartreuse pepper. I have caught some slabs this year. I really have not jig fished all that much. Just got a good rod and reel for it and better than borrowing one every time.
Went on the kayak last night. from 7:30-8:00 the sand bass and smaller hybrids were schooling around me. It was like shooting fish in a barrel. I caught at least 30 fish. One hybrid was about 16" and the sandies were all about 10-12 with only 1-2 dinks.
so much fun on 6 lbs line and a light rod.
Last night for dinner I had 10 crappie fillets from Tuesday when we cleaned fish. Olive oil and lemon pepper on them then lay them on thinly sliced lemons on your baking sheet. 10 minutes at 350 pull them then turn on the broiler to heat up. I drizzled them with Irish butter and put them in for 90 seconds. Just enough to brown them a bit on top.
Delicious.
