My first big boy hunting rifle

I bought a budget minded Ruger American Predator in .308. Got invited to go hog hunting after Xmas. Yeah cheap but accurate enough for my skill level. Now I need optics...suggestions under $200?

Never hunted hog?  How much power is needed to take these beasts down?  Are they fast on their feet?

I have that rifle. Don't put it down for it's price. I shoot echo silhouettes out to a 1000 yards with mine.

For $200 just put a Nikon Buckmaster II (if you can find one) or a Vortex Crossfire on it. Probably the best scopes for that price. I also picked up a Sightmark off of Sportsmansguide 5 years ago for $100 I thought for sure would crap out by now in the extreme temperatures, but it is still working just fine on my son's 6.5.
If it doesn't scare you, it is not heavy enough.
