RIP Amy Richardson
« on: January 26, 2023, 02:23:02 pm »

Bodybuilding and power lifting has suffered a big loss this week. IFBB pro women's physique competitor and pro power lifter Amy Richardson passed away from complications of pneumonia.
Amy was an incredible person. I met Amy and Ken in Pittsburgh a few years ago. Every show I attended after that first meeting we spoke at length every time. Besides competing they always had a booth selling their jewelry and other merchandise. Ken was very in love with Amy and supported her the way a marriage and relationship should be.  At the recent Olympia we were able to hang out with them while waiting on our VIP passes and later at their booth and spoke at length many times throughout the weekend.
Like so many people attending the Olympia, Amy caught the flu which turned into pneumonia along with shingles. She would get better then relapse until this week when she lost her battle. My heart goes out to Ken and their family with their devastating loss. RIP Amy.

If it doesn't scare you, it is not heavy enough.

I know, same here BC. Not to mention the people that had to withdraw due to getting sick before they went on.  I was lucky that my friend from Cancun had brought me some z-packs for my daughters and at the first sign on Sunday I started myself on it. But I felt like total sh*t on my red eye flight home Sunday night and went straight to bed when I got to the house at noon and slept straight through until 9am Tuesday, then only made it to the couch. It sucked.

You probably walked by their booth. They were right by where Jan Tana was doing the body painting. They have had a booth at the big shows for years and most of the local Florida NPC and Pro shows as well.
