Yes. Studies show saturated fat has a greater impact on insulin resistance than excessive carbohydrate intake. This can even be seen around the world. The countries with the highest intake of saturated fats also have the highest prevalence of type 2 diabetes regardless of total caloric intake.
If it doesn't scare you, it is not heavy enough.
