Great listen. If I train daily my workouts start to suffer.

I was doing Muay Thai classes, BJJ classes, crossfit and hitting the gym for cardio when I was training for a fight back in my 40s. I was in incredible shape. I had gas in the tank after the fight, but...two weeks later I only trained 3 times a week and I felt SOOOO much better. I would have been even better in the fight.

I switch between two mesocycles where I train 3 days a week, PPL DC training, and 4 days a week, full body Fortitude training (It is MTThF where you focus on upper body one day and lower body the next day with a couple pump sets for the non-focused parts.) I actually get a little more recovery from the 4 days a week, because when I do to DC training my intensity is 100% every session.
If it doesn't scare you, it is not heavy enough.

This sounds like a plan when changing workouts.   I'll givew you feed back.

I do something similar. Muay Thai 2x week, BJJ 1x a week and then my whole body split in two days. I have been doing this for a while now and feel WAY better and not so run down as when I was doing the martial arts and a 4 day weight split. BJJ and weights after was a bitch.
